The Colorado/dmax are one of the worlds toughest 4wds available on the market. It does, however, have some points of issue. Suspension being one of them.


We offer a complete coil conversion system for the rear. Complete with engineering pre-approval to meet ADR and VSB requirements. Giving you a safe, legal and compliant solution to your pride and joy. Using the factory rear housing in a double triangulated 4 link rear configuration for serious lateral stability and towing capacity. Once our kit is fitted, the rear housing is re-rated to a whopping 1900 KG with an increased GVM to boot. This coil conversion system is unlike any other with multiple variations available. Our kit also runs a 90 liter rear mounted fuel cell to give clearance for the trailing arms and better weight distribution over the rear axle. We offer loads of options listed below.

Stage 1 kit includes – $7,700.00 inc gst. 

Heavy duty fixed or adjustable lower trailing arms, heavy duty adjustable upper trailing arms running FK heims, all trailing arm mounts, chromoly rated shock pins, coil platform with spring drop out cones, Chassis bracing for inside and outside to suit GVM increase if needed, diff truss with coil seats and upper link mounts attached, 18mm grade 8.8 bolts with nyloc’s and washers for trailing arms, brake line mounts, manual brake valve, diff breather kit, fuel tank mounts, fuel tank adaptor. 


We can also offer a Colorado/dmax rear housing completely welded out with all mounts and brake lines, blasted and painted, ready for install for $3000. (exchange)


What’s needed to complete conversion -

  • Complete rear housing.
  • Dobinson/EFS rear coil springs (if using coils) to suit 105 series Landcruiser, 2-inch lift at medium rate (load rating will depend on vehicle, usually 200 to 350kg is a great medium rate) will give approx. 2 inches of lift.
  • Shocks to suit 3-inch lift 79 (rear). We recommend Superior, KINGS, FOX, Radflo, Comp shocks or Dobinson - - MRA but any shock will work as long as its suit 70 series rear.
  • Brake lines (5/16) to run from new brake valve to extended brake line mounted on the coil platform. Then from diff to split to left and right brake calipers.
  • Extended brake line.
  • Nissan patrol GU rear fuel tank. 90 Liter.
